We’re privileged to help the Wally Thompson OAM Club at Kapooka recognise their members, through the use of a new custom-designed challenge coin. These are the latest coins we’ve made, and we’re pretty happy that the Wally Thompson OAM Club is also pretty happy.
“Apologies for the delayed response, we are extremely happy with the coins. On behalf of the Wally Thompson, OAM Club I would like to sincerely thank you for your exceptional service. We look forwards to working with you again in the future.”
The design and deployment of challenge coins was a strictly military thing, until recently when others have begun to utilise them – from first responders to corporate teams. The concept goes back to World War II at least, and some people believe they go all the way back to Roman times. The reason that challenge coins have survived and grown in use and appeal, is that they work well as a tangible and economical way to help teams stand out, develop bonding through the challenge and build camaraderie and team loyalty.
