Member of The Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem is an honour only bestowed upon deserving members who have demonstrated loyalty and service to the organisation. The order was incorporated by Royal Charter during the reign of Queen Victoria. From Serving Brother/Sister, volunteers can progress to Officer, Commander and ultimately Knight after a lifetime of dedication. St. John also recognizes bravery in the community by issuing Lifesaving Awards to deserving citizens. The member insignia is in nickel, 44mm diameter with a wide plain watered black riband of 38mm.
Members of the Order were formerly known as Serving Brothers and Serving Sisters.
